Restore Hope for a Child event  -- CASA for the Children of DC

Please join us as we celebrate the children in foster care CASA of DC serves, and the formidable advocacy work the organization does everyday. CASA of DC is a 100% community-driven organization that works hard so children in foster care spend less time in the system, find permanent homes faster and get the life-changing services they need.

We invite you to kick-off the holidays with a salute to our children and the advocacy that makes their lives better.  VIP guests will include
The Honorable Lee F. Satterfield, Chief Judge, Superior Court of the District of Columbia and Neil Albert, City Administrator for the District of Columbia.

Every year thousands of abused and/or neglected children in the District of Columbia are in need of safe, permanent, nurturing homes. Too many spend years moving from one temporary home to another with no family to call their own. They are more likely than other children to face homelessness, unemployment, even prison as adults. “Community members in DC wanted better futures for these children; that’s when the movement on behalf of children in the District of Columbia began."

CASA for Children of DC was established in 2002 to make sure that children who have experienced abuse and neglect in our nation's capital can count on caring adults in our community to lead them to safety, restore hope, and facilitate healing.
